Audience Interview

I have decided to interview someone from my target audience which is someone from any gender who is aged between the ages of 15-40 and are interested in indie music. The person who i have interviewed is a 17 year old male who likes indie music.

1. What would you expect to be on a typical indie music magazine front cover?

I'd expect to see an indie band who are quite small at the minute but are going to start getting bigger, or a big band who have just released a new album or about to start touring.

2. What colours do you expect to see in this type of magazine?

Blue, white and black then maybe red and yellow in the corners of the magazine.

3. Are you a fan of indie music? If so what do you like about it?

I am a fan of indie music, and i feel as though the music is relatable too me and the lyrics in the songs are honest and straight to the point.

4. What do you think is a good name for a indie music magazine?

The Palaver, Undiscovered, Backstage

5. What information do you want to see in a indie music magazine?

I'd expect to see some articles on different bands with interviews with the band themselves also maybe some information on some upcoming tours that are going to be happening.

6. What do you think is a good price to sell a magazine for?

Between £2.50 and £4.00.

7. Would you rather see a big name on the front cover or an upcoming artist?

I'd like to see a variation, some weeks the big bands and other weeks have small bands on the front in order to give them some coverage.

8. Would you like to see special offers in the magazine?

Yeah! That would make the magazine more appealing to more people and it will make people want to buy it more.
